WORKSHOP
The Electric Renaissance: the Italian Path
Saturday, 8 July 2023
CHAIRS
Roberto Napoli, Member of the Board of the Ordine degli Ingegneri Torino, Emeritus Professor at Politecnico di Torino
OBJECTIVE
This workshop focuses on the key, essential features of the viable paths towards the new electric paradigms in Italy, from various points of view. Sustainable paths must be consumer-centric with the active participation of end users. A key role will be played by the academic community to train new experts and to undertake new research directions. Similarly, the formulation and specification of the rules of the road – the norms and the business models – are critically important. Also the impacts of the application of technology advancements, including the role of hydrogen deployment and nuclear developments such as the NewCleo Company, as well as grid modernization and expansion at transmission and distribution levels, are particularly important within the Italian context.
